OUR HISTORY
Though the world may be changing, walls are coming down and things are evolving… above all, we’re all still unique, and the fight against any form of discrimination will turn our diversity into our strength! It is a company’s responsibility to recruit, welcome and support each and every individual based on their skills, and their skills alone. Today, it’s essential that we give students with disabilities the means to follow the same courses as anyone else, so that they can access the same jobs as anyone else.
In France, just 4% of students who have a disability graduate from a business or engineering school. It was with this statistic in mind that Alcatel-Lucent, which is now part of Nokia, created the @talentEgal association in 2010, together with 7 partner schools. The goal was to support students with disabilities on their journey towards graduating from higher education. Adding the Safran Group in 2013, SII in 2016 and Dassault Systèmes in 2017 the association now works with 4 companies and 8 different partner schools.
A real gateway from high-school into higher education and onto your first job, @talentEgal supports students with disabilities from our partner schools throughout their entire higher education journey, all the way up to their first professional job. They benefit from a whole range of services, including mentoring, priority access to job vacancies, apprenticeships and internships, help preparing for job interviews, and much more.
